DAY WITH NATIVES:
A NATIVE PLANT WORKSHOP
June 2, 2012 9 a.m.
Choose from tours on:
•Restoration - Glades, savannas and prairies can be recreated or restored on your land
•Wildlife - Create habitat for everything from deer and turkey to quail and pollinators
•Landscaping - Native plantings are a beautiful,
low-maintenance addition to landscapes
•Forages - Warm season grasses can fill the
summer slump in a grazing operation
Tours will end around 1 p.m. We will provide lunch; please RSVP so we know how much food to prepare.
(optional) Ride through the wildflower fields of the Ozarks! On a hayride, we'll see the wildflower fields and savannas that one person likened to the tulip fields of Holland. It will begin after lunch and end around 4 p.m. |
WARM SEASON GRASS
PASTURE WALK
July 7, 2012 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Join us for a pasture walk at the Hamilton Ranch. It may be a warm day, but that's when the warm season grasses are growing and looking their best. Also, find out about our native diversity project; we're in the first year of our planting with more than 40 species for grazing.
Supper will be provided; RSVP so we know how much food to prepare. |
